ABOUT TRUGEAR

BUILT FROM
SCRATCH

TruGear started with one person, a secondhand sewing machine, and a problem that nobody in Europe had solved. Here's how it happened.

WHERE IT STARTED

THE RIGHT BELT
DIDN'T EXIST

Before TruGear, there was a skatepark. Working on wooden skate parks across Europe - doing everything from foundations to finishing - means carrying a lot of different tools for a lot of different tasks. You need a belt that works as hard as you do.

"Everything I found seemed to be off.
Just not right."

Toolbelts as a category simply weren't common in Europe. What existed was either designed for a single trade, built for a different kind of work, or just not made to last. The gap was obvious. The solution wasn't.

THE ORGIN

NINE MONTHS
OF OBSESSION

With zero sewing experience, he spent countless hours analysing every setup he could get his hands on — watching every YouTube video worth watching, learning the basics on a sewing machine from his mother.

"The first tries were absolutely horrible. But it gave me confidence to keep going."

For nine months, the process became an obsession. Learning, designing, failing, iterating. A handful of prototypes started to become something real.

He quit his job. Bought a 30-year-old sewing machine. Got some Cordura. Started TruGear.

TRUGEAR TODAY

MORE THAN A
BELT BRAND

TruGear is focused on one thing - solving the problems that existing gear hasn't solved. That means looking at how tradespeople actually work and building around that reality, not around what's always been done.

Unmatched customisation and genuine attention to what customers need sets TruGear apart. Every belt is assembled by hand, every configuration made to order.

This is not a warehouse brand.
It's a workshop brand.

THE PHILOSOPHY

TRU WAY

True to its purpose.
That's the only standard we hold ourselves to.

No compromises

Always improving
